Paralegal Association Gets Connecticut to Change Court Rules
Connecticut has revised its rules on permitted electronic devices in courtrooms at the urging of several Connecticut paralegal organizations. The new rules allow personal computers for note takers, and some other devices.
The American Association of Justice Names Paralegal of the Year
The American Association of Justice has named Lori Tracoma, a Richmond, Virginia, paralegal in the firm of Cantor and Arkema P.C. as its Paralegal of the Year.
Court Upholds Firing of Paralegal for Smoke Break
The New York Court of Appeals has upheld the firing of a paralegal for taking unauthorized smoking breaks. Karen Kridel was fired after working for over a year at the firm, which allowed no other breaks besides a lunch break.
