Heller Ehrman Terminates Most Legal Staff
Far earlier than planned, Heller Ehrman, the once-venerable law firm in San Franscisco that is currently in the process of dissolving, is terminating all ''non-essential'' staff because it does not have enough money to pay them. The layoffs were due in November, but ended up happening on Oct 10th.
National Federation of Paralegals Convention Held
Over the past week, the National Federation of Paralegals Convention was held in Rodgers, Arkansas. Attendance was high, and a variety of issues were discussed.
Ex-Dechert Attorney Sues Firm
A former Dechert attorney has sued the firm, claiming that his job was reduced to nothing more than a ''glorified paralegal'' position. Presumably, this was beneath him.
