Steefel Levitt benefits from Ultimate Software's Intersourcing solution
Law firm Steefel, Levitt & Weiss has achieved business efficiencies as a result of implementing Ultimate Software's Intersourcing solution. Earlier, the firm's human-resources-management system was mostly paper-based. Thus, processing paid-time-off requests and address changes consumed valuable time. Apart from the fact that documents could easily be misplaced, the firm could not ensure that processed data were accurate. Steefel Levitt chose an integrated solution to manage its human-resources, talent-management, and payroll requirements. Ultimate Software's Intersourcing solution has provided the law firm with a secure data center, Internet functionality, and reporting tools. Intersourcing also provides Steefel Levitt with protection from disasters, power outages, and other problems that could potentially affect business. Reducing the firm's reliance on paper, Ultimate Software provides a library of more than 600 standard and customizable reports. This ensures that a human-resources division can create daily compliance and business intelligence reports for individuals, particular offices, or an entire firm. Employing about 650 professionals, Ultimate Software is a leading provider of human-resources and talent-management solutions. Law firm Steefel, Levitt & Weiss has offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Stamford, CT.

Munsch Hardt deploys LiteScape's VoIP application
Law firm Munsch, Hardt, Kopf & Harr has implemented LiteScape Technologies' CallTrack Pro application across its Texas offices. Directed at the legal vertical market, the unified communications application will automate the firm's call tracking and billing processes. Having upgraded its legacy PBX system to a VoIP system, Munsch Hardt wanted to solve problems associated with billable calls that needed manual reconciliation. With the legacy system, once an incorrect long-distance code was entered, the error could not be rectified unless the number was redialed. Moreover, the legacy system did not authenticate client or matter numbers. According to Chuck Balash, Director of Information Systems for Munsch Hardt, CallTrack Pro assists with importing client and matter codes from a firm's accounting software and verifies whether the user has entered the correct code. The law firm is also currently testing LiteScape's OnCast Client. A stand-alone PC client and desktop application, OnCast Client helps firms conduct searches and make calls across multiple sites. The solution enables unified communication capabilities via Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes, and web-based applications. It also has a one-click feature that allows the user to start or join a conference call.
