ABOUT THE JOB Law Firm is looking for a motivated and driven Debt Collection Litigation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate is focused, enthusiastic, positive and committed to superior legal support. As a Debt Collection Litigation Paralegal, you would be responsible for managing support functions economically and efficiently, establishing priorities and maintaining good interpersonal relations and communications with lawyers and fellow support staff. Requirements: * College degree and/or Paralegal certificate * A minimum of three (3) years experience in private practice legal litigation support, preferably within an area of consumer debt collection litigation, commercial litigation, construction law, bankruptcy, community association law, or foreclosure-related practice experience * Ability to multitask and prioritize daily work, and meet all deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced, high volume work environment * Superb verbal and written communication skills * Energetic, forward-thinking and highly creative * Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills * Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, ability to quickly learn the cloud-based software solutions utilized by the firm Key Responsibilities: * Handle litigation work-flows from suit through judgment. * Calendaring of client matters, deadlines, and attorney obligations * Calculating current amounts owed * Preparing attorneys for hearings * Draft basic pleadings * Transcribing dictations * Ordering title searches * Processing production (i.e., bates labeling) * E-filing and serving court documents * Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, defendants and courts as necessary * Work well with other team members and be seen as lead support for other team members * Other duties as needed Salary and Benefits Law Firm offers a competitive base salary (commensurate with experience) and a comprehensive benefits package.
